It will be almost two years since I left home to settle somewhere else in the name of “career”,
Sure I did think that rather than studying for hours on end I’d rather drink tons of fruit beer.
I genuinely believe college has a way to make you miss home,
From considering your parents as your best friends now it is my phone.
They say in college you become dedicated towards your career,
But judging by my schedule I’m surely the laziest student of the year.
My mother never fails to make me laugh,
Along with her sense of humour she also is a human polygraph.
My father is a true realist who insists that I stick to reality than to fantasy,
I sometimes cannot follow what he says - saying this with full honesty.
My young sister makes it clear that she is the older one,
Always testing my vocabulary & general knowledge one on one is not seriously not much fun.
I turn twenty soon & the distance between us doesn’t affect our love,
Every time my family makes sure that I go back after I experience all of the above.
