I felt my soul bleed
as I began to write
about you, so read
to know how bright
you made my life
but now I’m filled with strife
and darkness is where I live

high up in the sky, so alive

you healed everything you touched
it was too late when I realized
that when you made everyone alive
you were struggling to survive
you smiled the most
when you were broken

whilst burning like a lantern.
If only I knew before you were gone
I’d have never let you fight alone
you tried so hard to end this war

I stare into the sky every day
only to watch you shine
I try to reach you, but you’re lightyears away
and realize you’re no longer mine
all I can do is look at you
and think about how much I miss you
If only I had held you tighter
then I did, a moment longer
and let you know how much
you meant to me and my life
It wouldn’t break me so much
to let you go feels like a knife
driven right through my heart
but from your pain, it’s barely a part
Together we could’ve ended this war
but now you’re just a shooting star
