Frustration Aggression Hypothesis

All of us have heard the terms “Frustration” & “Aggression” - but have you heard before this blog that these two terms are interrelated & influence each other? This concept, Frustration Aggression Hypothesis - talks about when the person is unable to express their emotions, they tend to frustrate with that particular situation & end up becoming aggressive as time passes because they need something to express themselves.

The reason why this concept is being talked about is to signify the importance of avoiding aggressive behavior. Aggressive behavior is nothing but a result of a destructive mindset & this mindset in particular is like an addiction or more like a habit. What is meant by that is that once an individual starts thinking about being aggressive or acting aggressive it officially becomes a habit, speaking from personal experience.

Aggression is something internal. It’s like a fire that burns inside of you & it erupts with a slight chance of freedom & when it does the result isn’t pleasant at all. It feels like when you completely lose control, nothing but frustration appears in the way of the individual.

Frustration is often caused when one is unable to reach their goal & too many unnecessary hurdles interrupt your way of thinking. Constantly faced with frustration, is something I always have dealt with & mostly it wasn’t only because of not being able to reach my goal but also constant hurdles that made me overstress & which in turn resulted in aggression.

It's essential to keep calm in every situation because it's very easy to lose control & difficult to gain back control.
