Like dew drops fall on the ground
And the morning rays hide the sun
It is often in crying we find relief
The empty shelves gave me blank looks
And even the hummingbird knows pain
So beautiful but broken
I’ve spotted unicorns
And seen aliens walk by
Tinted the red of rusted anger
Eats away at the foundations
But then I see the stars above
And find hope in their gentle love
I want to be happy
I want to be free
A sense of fulfillment and gratitude envelops me,
And the feeling of being part of something profound
In love, we thrive but in passion survive.
