Our Story

The story behind the birth of psychophilics…

The founder, as a kid, faced various adversities and problems from early childhood. He tried his best but still faced failures at many instances. He faced health problems such as diabetes at the age of 14. Still, he overcame these difficulties with the help of psychology research, psychologists, mentors, friends, and family. He had first-hand experiences which made him understand the importance of psychological well-being and how our other components of health are related to mental health. Then, he made his mission to promote mental health awareness in India and serve the community by introducing them to psychology.

The website is for those individuals who face problems; it doesn't matter if people consider it as big or small as a problem is still a problem unless solved. The website is not to substitute any professional advice. It's to supplement it. It's to inspire you to seek professional help. It's to motivate you. It's to reaffirm the belief that there is hope and you are not alone. You can and will improve your mental well-being.

Psychophilics got started by a to-be-psychologist, a person like you, who has faced daily problems. Who understands your needs…The website is based on helpful, practical personal experiences backed by scientific research and shared with love. It is not just another toxic positivity motivation website. It's Psychophilics, nurturing the mind enough not just to defend but to proactively handle the problem when it tries to disturb our well-being.

The first 1st Psychophilic, the founder, got joined by many people in his mission to increase awareness…to teach… to instill in the world that help exists. The team got expanded as follows:

  1. Youtube Team: To teach psychology concepts, explore psychology as a subject, and guide people to live a better life using psychology.

  2. Podcast Team: To increase awareness about mental health in India using facts and figures. To guide psychology students and aspiring psychologists.

  3. Instagram Team: For psychoeducation of the young generation. To reach the masses about our initiative.

  4. Blog/ Content Generation Team: Provide knowledge based on helpful, practical personal experiences backed by scientific research. It also strives to provide an insight into psychology as a field for psychology students.

One commonality among all the members of Psychophilics is that they believe in spreading the awareness of mental health and psychological well-being.
